Re: Spice Girls Random Discussion Thread | Emma: "and Mel B was there" :')

This is really tacky, can we please not fire shots at any members of the Spice Girls in reference to Mel B's father's funeral, thank you. At one point you just gonna have to draw a line, though, Jay. No matter which side, if you're a pot stirrer or let yourself be stirred, you're part of the problem.

Re: Spice Girls Random Discussion Thread | Victoria: "There won't be a reunion" [Page 664]

I don't know where people get the idea that something was to happen after the end of the reunion tour? They never said they were going to do much, not even the musical was a project all of them participated in. It was mainly Geri, Emma and Melanie C. We thought they would never reunite prior to the ...

Re: Geri Reacts to friend, George Michael's, Death

^And so what? They definitely had fun together at the Olympics party, so clearly they made up. George wasn't close to anyone towards the end, he was very much keeping to himself and a very limited number of people. And even though, Geri wasn't the single one to blame for them growing apart. He publi...

Re: BBC2 Documentary "Geri's Nineties - My Drive to Freedom"

What a nice program! And Geri looks so good in it! Nice to see her mum again also, she seems like the nicest woman! So down to earth, so loving. I'll always be fascinated by Geri's story and it was so nice to hear her talk about it, see the unseen photos, hear the Absolute-boys talk about her and h...

Re: This isn't a nice place to be anymore.

We're all in our late 20s-40s already. The majority of us joined when we were teenagers or pre-teens. The older I get, the more I could care less or don't have time for bullshit and fuckery - maybe I'm not the only one who has that. When I see bickering arise here, I try not to even bother and repl...

Quite shameless. Nothing wrong with that though, they all based their success and built their careers on it. Both group and solo.

Re: BBC2 Documentary "Geri's Nineties - My Drive to Freedom"

And to me it's pretty obvious she doesn't think she left the band the day after they met Nelson Mandela. That was when she seriously started to think about it. Visiting him made her reflect. Again, it's not rocket science. People in this place needs to get out of their bubble and reflect from a diff...

Re: BBC2 Documentary "Geri's Nineties - My Drive to Freedom"

I'm surprised that people don't realise the bubble the girls lived in. Everything they did was spice-related. Everything. The world they walked revolved around them. It's not strange at all that she gets dates, months, even years mixed up. It's most definitely all a blur. It's not hard to imagine. T...

Yeah I remember that pic was used a lot in the magazines in Italy in 1996-1997 alongside with this other pic http://api.img.nlm.io/zRLdk_Ql/h460-w305-1456149015/vogue/media/articles/3/8/4/0/38474-1_og.jpg Maybe back then every year had their iconic pics, and now the most iconic are the ones that ca...

Re: BBC2 Documentary "Geri's Nineties - My Drive to Freedom"

Her raving-period has been well documented, especially through her own book.

When it comes to Ana Maria: Did you not see the Geri documentary by Molly Dineen?

Ana Maria is adorable, though. Always had been. So down to earth and really really wonderful.

I love it. I don't know why it's labelled "cheesy". It's cute. Catchy. Well-produced. The video is nice. What's not to like?

Re: Scream If You Wanna Go Faster

^Yeah, it's too bad EMI were such assholes back then. Apparently they underwent a re-organising and that affected a lot of artists, not just Geri.

If I'm not mistaking this re-organising was why Geri (among others) were moved from EMI to EMI: Chrysalis.

Re: Scream If You Wanna Go Faster

I actually also think "Strength of a Woman" and "Circles Round The Moon" would work well as singles. And probably more familiar to the general audience, as "Scream If You Wanna Go Faster" - however awesome it is- was a very bold move to release, as it's not the sound sh...

Re: A fan went to Geri's house

Bold move. I mean, Dale also visited her house but she knew him already... Geri did have someone unwanted enter her first house during a party, also the apartment she bought after that was broken in to in 2001 or 2002. So I doubt she's very happy having unknown people approach her house, fans or not...

Re: Spice Girls Random Discussion Thread

I guess that it's hard for the other 4 to look at VB and see the snob everyone else think she is. But it's not like VB didn't help, she always looked serious/moody and does like to dress a certain posh way. So for most people it's pretty obvious. For them it's not. And honestly, the production on Fo...

Re: Spice Girls Random Discussion Thread

If the girls cared even remotely about their 20th anniversary, they could have found one day in the year to get together for a day and take a selfie together, but they didn't because they don't care about the fans. Simple as really. Let's not forget that no matter how "down to earth" they...

Sure. Just like you said it would win the 2nd chance and win the Swedish finale.
