Pokémon Go

Postby PeruvianSpice » 30 Sep 2016, 05:26

Hi everyone

Despite the BIG success of Pokémon Go, I haven't seen a thread about it here.

Does anybody play it here?
What do you think of it?
Do u like it? Dislike it? Are u obssessed with it?
What do you think of the region-exclusive Pokémons?

...

As for me, I wanted to check it out to see what it was all about and since then I've became quite addicted to it.

I'm frustrated that I won't be able to get the region-exclusive ones (North America, Europe, Asia, Australia)

I play it everyday :D

What about u

I was a bandwagon jumper. I played hard for about a month. Me and a few of my friends would go downtown (the local hot spot) every weekend and stay out walking around for hours and hours. I invested in power banks to keep us charged, and it was good fun and brought lots of people out.

However, I noticed the numbers continually dropped when they didn't fix the tracking feature.. it was literally walking around blind, unless someone would come back to "Eevee Alley" (if you sat here, you could hit three pokestops at once, and lots of eevees... so everyone gathered and sat here) and tell everyone "I just caught a snorlax on state street!"
Then we all started using Pokevision, and the amount of people stayed steady. When they shut down those trackers, people gave up. I was one of those people. The buddy system was a nice update, but it took too long..

Plus lots of people are cheating, however they're doing it, they're cheating. If they're just catching pokemon, I have no issue.. if they're doing it and taking over gyms to get the coins, that's not really fair.

TL;DR - Jumped on bandwagon. It was fun for a while. Got bored without assistance from the tracker or third party tracker. Cheaters who take over gyms get on my nerves.

I actually am quite caught up in the game...

I hope they keep introducing pokémons in the game and I hope I'll be able to get the exclusive ones

I know there are apps that help u about locations. That I think it's great.

I mean, you still walk, you still explore but it points you to a more accurate position

I love it! I haven't played as much as when it first came out, but I'm really hoping they add some new pokemon soon. Probably going to Union Square to play tomorrow!

Level 24 here.
I love the game, but everyday is a little boring as I have caught almost 110 pokemon (from the pokedex) and nothing rare is appearing.

I'm thinking about giving my account to a friend in London to catch me a Mr. Mime

Even if I catch all Pokémon, I get repeated cause I like 'em or cause I try to get higher CP

Mmm.. I do not recommend to do that, you can be banned from the game.
Mr Mime appears in the 10k eggs (I didn't got it yet)

I was going to disconnect from the game starting today, then my friend will try it in lonon and i will join again on friday so to make the "think" i've traveled

I read that you can get it from 10KM eggs IF you catch them in their specific región and hatch it there

I think even the head of Niantic tweeted that

I play it daily. Although I still enjoy playing it some of the Magic has gone with the introduction of the reduced speed limit restrictions and a few other things. The region only Pokémon are a good idea but it is frustrating when you see a Tauros in a U.K. gym and it's registered to pokedex and you can do nothing thing about it. I'd happily swap details with other gamers in the exclusive regions.

Hey there! Nice to see someone playing as actively as me:

I'm SO Happy by the inclusion of Ditto yesterday... you catch a Pidgey, Rattata, and some other common ones and once it's catched, it's revealed as being Ditto :D

Anyway... I also dislike the speed restrictions but I still do my best to catch as many bonuses as I can.

I wish South America had an exclusive Pokémon.

I've seen exclusives in Perú. Dunno if they really traveled or it was by a hack. By I've seen Kangaskhan and Mr. Mime, none of which I can get here :(

I open the app each day. Don't play as much as I used to (drains battery so bad), but, I still live in hope of completing my Pokedex (currently 119).

I managed to catch Ditto last night right by my house. It was disguised as a rattata. Then logged into a friends account and got it for her :)

I want a few Mr. Mime (I collect more than 1 of each kind)

That's a pity. At least you got something though.

Hopefully with the next update in December when hey release more Pokémon, there won't be regional exclusives.

Does anyone else find it practically impossible to get 10km eggs anymore? I haven't had one for almost 2 months.
