The worst songs?

Postby Whitewashed » 15 May 2009, 22:26

So which are the ones you absolutely hate? The ones I dislike are Greece, Ukraine and Armenia but the one I absolutely hate is United Kingdom. A bland performer with a horrible song a Pop Idol -reject wouldn't record. But the best/worst part is the lyrics. She mentions "my time" 19 times and the way she emphasizes the word "my" gets my blood boiling. It's a good thing that the good people of Europe have to witness this only once.

I actually like the UK's song.

There are a hell lot of bad songs so I won't name them cos I don't even know their names lol.

I wouldn't say that's the worst song when you think of all the poo that gets on Eurovision, at least it's an actual song and she is a strong vocalist. It may surprise some people if she puts her best vocal performance through on the night.

for a slow song to win eurovision it has to have a mind blowing performer or show or just be a chill down the spine inducing song, which i don't think is the case here

i didn't see all the songs that made it to the final but i did hear Netherlands and found it really bad, it's something that would have worked maybe 10 years ago
if anything good is happening in the SG or solo-SG forum, someone please PM me :p thx

Hmm, I think Finland is awful! Iceland is boring, UK is boring, Spain seems trashy.. Lots of other obvious candidates as well, from countries I can´t even remember..

Russia was the worst!
I will have nightmares for a couple of weeks because that performance!
The only good thing is that she sang in Russian, so at least represented a bit the country.

But most of them were bad, seriously, hated it!

I like Jade Ewen she's got a good voice but I agree that 'my time' was a terrible song and unfortunately it was wrecked further by having Andrew Lloyd Webber massaging his ego yet again by being on stage other than that I liked our entry this year.

Worst song for me was Spains
