Has any of her live tours been filmed and released/aired?
I`m watching the Part of Me movie now, but I want to watch a complete show without extra footage etc between songs.
Any tips? I am currently downloading a file called "Live @ U-Express" not sure what it is...

I`ve been asked to work at her Oslo show on March 20. Most probably behind the stage/scenes, but I`m pretty sure I`ll get to watch some of her show as well.
So I need to learn/see more of her so that I can enjoy the night! lol!
Dont get me wrong, I have always liked her persona and character cause I`ve seen a lot interviews with her, but just never really examined her work. ;)

So, what do I need to watch? (yes, I`ve seen her Super Bowl performance and it was AWESOME!!)

She has/will film(ed) one of her show in Australia for a DVD release, no idea when when it will be out.

Katy Perry in Swine

Postby Loveless » 02 Apr 2015, 10:25

Seeing her Peacock interlude from her Prismatic tour inspired me to make this immediately after watching it because it made me think how Gaga would've done a music video for Swine. There'd be a lot more elements that weren't done by Katy (such as a mechanical pig a la the SXSW performance),but this is about my rough interpretation of what Swine's music video could've been. Also the song has been condensed to fit the entire length of the Peacock interlude,so it's basically the artRAVE studio version.

Did you post this on GagaDaily as well? I saw it there! Not bad, Katy Perry makes me cringe but the song and video do go well together. "Swine" will forever be one of my absolute faves on "ARTPOP".

I can't take Katy Perry seriously, she looks silly 99% of the time in my opinion.

Anyway, "Swine" will never stop sounding fucking fierce

In hindsight I wish the singles would have went

1. Dark Horse
2. Legendary Lovers
3. Walking On Air
4. Birthday
5. Unconditionally
6. This Moment

I think she was spot on to go with 'Roar' first though, I wouldn't have favoured anything else over it. It seemed 'Roar' only died down when 'Dark Horse' started impacting as the third single. Hard to say what song she should have gone with second to steal attention away from 'Roar', but 'Unconditionally' didn't manage that unfortunately.

She definitely dropped the ball with 'Walking On Air'. :( I think 'This Is How We Do', while catchy, wasn't a completely necessary choice. I'd switch those two. I think 'Legendary Lovers' had hit potential too, but perhaps they were a little concerned it wasn't different enough from 'Dark Horse'.

Speaking of 'Dark Horse', it's become one of the most viewed videos in the history of Vevo/YouTube. It currently has 893,013,713 views - presumably it'll pass a billion views at some point this year!

1. Roar - aug-oct 2013
2. Unconditionally - nov-jan 2013
3. Dark Horse - feb-may 2014
4. Birthday - jun-aug 2014
5. Legendary Lovers - sept-dec 2014
6. Walking on Air - jan-mar 2015

i actually think unconditionally was the perfect follow-up to roar. it was a nice winter-y song and the video was really good. too bad it didn't really get heavy rotation on radio. this is how we do is a bit meh... i think legendary lovers would have been better and almost as big as dark horse! i think she really missed out on a big potential hit there, even more so than WOA.

I don't think I would've changed the singles, but she should've released Walking On Air as well.

I will forever champion This Is How We Do.

At first I didn't like 'This Is How We Do' was a single, it was one of the songs I used to skip on the album, but I loved the video and the song grew a lot on me so I'm glad they chose it.

I think the singles were good, if anything I would've replaced 'Birthday' with 'Walking On Air' or 'Love Me'. I like the song, but the crap video totally killed it for me.

Maybe if 'Dark Horse' had been the 2nd single and 'Unconditionally' the 3rd, it would've been better received by radio.

I still haven't managed to get around to listening to Prism.

My favourite single is This is How We Do though. I think the only thing I would've changed would have been Birthday being a single, not a big fan of that song.

But i definitely need to get around to listening to the album as a whole!

The LAtinAmerican leg of her tour just begun yesterday here in Lima, Peru...woohooooo!!! I am not a big fan of her, but it was such a great show.
As it usually occurs here in Peru (and I think it also happens in other LAtinAmerican countries), the show was kinda cut and some props were not showcased, but who knows, if she uses them in the forthcoming shows.
I did not missed them anyway, We had a blast. Pictures coming soon.

The Prismatic tour is really going to a lot of places in the last 1 1/2 year.

Can't wait for the DVD October 30th and re-live that again.

She said São Paulo was the best show of the tour, she spoke a bit of portuguese, and the show had a lot of funny moments (including a fan on stage that doesn't speak english). I was supposed to be there, the tickets are sitting here, and I'm in another state (I was born in São Paulo, tho). Wish I had been there.

Is there an officially released version of "Dark Horse" without the rap by Juicy J?

If so, where can I find it?

Loved the video. Most artists would've made it quick and get rid of the girl asap. But she knew how to handle it in a funny way and didn't act like "hey, don't touch me, I'm important".
