She could always do a theatre tour instead of stadiums. Not that big of a deal.

Probably the whole futuristic sound. She stated she wanted that type of album right after promo for B2B ended. That was her mistake - getting fans and public amped for another themed record (she milked the vintage image from 2004-2006/07). And Lady Gaga entered the picture with the exact sound Xtina was going for.

Yeah this. Also, wasn't it stated somewhere that the record company was reticent about the album's content being too uncommercial so they ordered some more 'current' songs that could be hits - thus making the album sound uneven? There are awesome 'futuristic' songs in there, particularly Elastic Love, Birds of Pray, etc. But as a whole, it is not a futuristic album at all...

And yes it is full of filler and her attitude fucking stank at the time.

I read about the uncommercial songs too. You can tell the unbalance of the album. I think her GH had a factor in it as well. The newer songs had that Bionic vibe, along with Genie 2.0 and Beautiful 2.0.

I heard that she and Linda Perry record a good handful of unused new songs for the greatest hits. I would LOVE to hear those.

She struggles to find the proper 2nd single lately... She releases this upbeat dance track, and she think has hit written all over it, and than it does okay.. .but she fails to follow it up with anything stable. I think shes scared to tour, with what happened with the Bionic tour... She can blame poor record sales on the industry, and promotion... blah blah.. It's hard to blame empty seats on anything other than people not being interested.

She doesn't struggle she gave up so easy Like with your body she canceled all the plans for it even it charted in the top 30 on billboard without promo it would have been a hit and then she was pregnant with summer and then joined the voice again and did all the private concerts thing that she's been doing since Bionic and releasing perfumes and doing tv shows with BBC she's more like a business woman now but I hope she tours with this new album and doesn't give up on it like always .

I'm still baffled why the explicit version of that song was never released.

I've had her greatest hits on replay all weekend such a killer collection even the new singles and reworked versions of Genie and Beautiful sit nicely on it. :music:

This greatest hits deserved to do so much better commercially than it did certainly deserved to sell as well as Greatest Hits: My Prerogative.

What was the reasoning behind Can't Hold Us Down being excluded again? was it to do with Lil Kim?
