The two other tracks on the Threads EP are... ok! *Praise*

----

'Threads' is flopping hard. As far as I know the single version peaked at #681 on iTunes earlier today before dropping (it's currently #920). Such a shame for her. However the EP is fairing better... currently #32 on iTunes Albums.

I guess her streaming will be virtually non-existent and who knows how many CDs she's sold, so unfortunately I can see her easily missing the Top 200 overall. I feel bad for her... she's received so much criticism (as well as downright rude/nasty comments) recently for her acting, this song, her personality and so forth. I wish she'd get a break, she seems like such a nice person to me.

I can,t understand the logic of having a 1-track CD and a 4-track download  x

:D I guess it was probably intentional, although I'm not convinced she'd have considered herself to be this much of an underdog lol (that hardly anyone is rooting for, apparently :( )

I would have preferred the CD to be the 4-track EP too.... definitely a wasted opportunity. This release makes me feel like it's a promo CD!

I think it was always going to perform this way. She no doubt hoped her Corrie appearance would generate some interest but we now know how that went.

She should have launched her solo music in 2010 or 2011 at the latest.

Yeah she left this way too late unfortunately any interest she may have had totally died out a long time ago

Sarah is midweek #145 today, based on sales across Friday/Saturday/Sunday and Monday. She's sold 1481, and that's roughly 770 downloads, 593 CDs and 118 streaming units.

She most likely won't be Top 200 come Friday.

Just got around to listening to Live Before I Die & Indelible the former sounds like something right off of Lindsay Lohans first album. I really like it a lot.

Shame we aren't getting a full length album.

^ Do you really want to compare them? Melanie C has sold millions of singles & albums worldwide. She also achieved a Top 15 hit single 15 years after releasing her smash hit debut single. Now what about Sarah / Nicola / Nadine / Kim...? ;)

Plummets to midweek #188 after adding just 43 "sales" to its running total. I guess it won't be in tomorrow's midweeks.

By the way on the 10th it was midweek #113.

The sad thing is neither of you are getting Sammy's joke... He is saying Melanie C would even laugh at that which is saying a lot because she can't get a hit on her own to save her life...

lol is Mel still selling millions these days? How did This Time/The Sea etc do?

You can't compare Mel C in 1999 to Sarah 2015. The industry has completly changed and music doesn't sell what it used to sell so hardly a fair comparison :D

I want to draw a comparison of Sarah to Atomic Kitten Jenny Frost and her Crash Landing Song! I see some similarities.

On a good for Sarah note: Threads was co-written by the talented and amazing Ben Cullum! Go Sarah Go!

I'm glad she gave it a go anyway, it's nice to own a CD from each of them now!

I don't think Sarah can be compared to the solo Spice Girls. All 5 of them hit the ground running with their solo careers; all released at least one single within 5 years of 'Wannabe' coming out. 'Threads' comes nearly 13 years after GA debuted, 6 years after the GA hiatus started and 2-3 years since the reunion/split. Imagine if one of the Spice Girls hadn't released a solo single until 2009?
