Last time I checked the sales were around 600.000 worlwide and that was 2014. So maybe 601.000 :(
Here's to Never Growing Up did fine but the rest of the singles failed (even Rock & Roll). Well, at least she released a video for Give You What You Like.

Nope, she's not selling much nowadays, but you're right, her last album was a good one.

Let's see if she release something in the new year, but she need a big hit. Maybe a duo, Bieber is also Canadian...

"Let Go" was magnificent...

I wasn't fond of "Under My Skin" as I found it too dark/angsty and hardcore...

I think the improved a bit with "The Best Damn Thing"...

My fave has been "Avril Lavigne"... it was a nice balance of songs...

I just wish she had more success...

I also think Justin's been a brat and I don't like him but since his last songs have been great, I can picture a great thing...

for me; Let Go was a really REALLY good first album but Under My Skin is just wonderful, my fave Avril album to date... The Best Damn Thing was too Sum 41 influenced for my taste and Goodbye Lullaby was a bit yawn (but still both had some really great songs on them). with Avril Lavigne, she again made a great album, but public has moved on and rock music is on the down slope so...

I agree. All her albums has a few really great tracks and most of them are singles. Her Greatest Hist will be a must have for everyone.

About the duo, I would love it. I prefer when she sings alone but a duo won't hurt. All the duets she has done were very low profile and most of them are just album tracks.

The lady has a new song:

She's featured but I guess this is, somehow, the way she's building her way back to the top (20).

It's nothing special, but interesting that she's back at it. I find the problem with Avril is that she never really evolved into a respectable artist. She got stuck doing those faux emo, pop punk tracks and got left in the dust. To this day I still think she has some beautiful ballads (ex. I'm With You)

^But the thing about Avril is, I don't think she sets out herself to be recognized as a respectable artist.
I think for her, as long as she is able to write the music she likes and still perform, she is happy.
I doubt she is in for the credibility, if she does, there is no way she will record "Girlfriend" and "The Best Damn Thing, which is a throwaway from her first 2 albums.
And I am alright with her style coz her singles catalogue rarely disappoints.

- The pop singer-songwriter has signed with a new record label, BMG (...)
- She says that the new album will see her "going back to my roots a little bit... I got my start in church and at country fairs when I was a young child, and I think those earlier influences are definitely coming out now."
- Lavigne thinks she has a song in mind for the first single -- one that came to her "when I was in bed and literally felt like I was dying... in the midst of feeling so close to death, I came up with one of my most true and moving songs."

Urmmm.. I'm not too sure about that. But I hope it still sticks to some pop-rock-punk sound, I mean that is her signature sound. Let's not alienate her fans.
